BARBER ARCHITECTURE

For the interiors, BA created a "corporate community" that encouraged synergy, cooperation, and interaction. The primary interior, two-level circulation path, called "Main Street", is naturally lit by a continuous clerestory light monitor. To promote interaction and improve teamwork and efficiency, BA created an environment with an open plan and shared work spaces. The public lobby includes a reception hall with a monumental staircase that leads to a sidewalk cafe, an outdoor food market, and a sunny terrace. An award-winning auditorium hosts a variety of formal and informal company functions, including employee gatherings. Multiple smaller spaces offer the opportunity for impromptu conversations essential to communication, creativity, and the exchange of ideas.
