1001 17th Street represents a transformation of a 1960's single use/single tenant building into a modern, Class A, multi-tenant, mixed-use property.
A challenge of the transformation was to provide a public front door, connecting the original second level lobby to 17th Street. The new lobby off 17th Street provides interior entrances to retail space and is connected with escalators, stairways, and elevators to the original lobby, forming a concourse. The lobbies are finished with marble and glass walls with stone flooring.
BA coordinated supports and connections for the art piece "Floating Mount Evans Sky" by German artist, Reiner John.
The project includes renovated bathrooms, common areas, and elevator lobbies on each level of the office tower. BA selected/ documented building standard finishes and provided space plan and test-fits to potential tenants.
