Sheridan Municipal Center
When the city officials of Sheridan, Colorado commissioned a new city hall, they hoped that it would signal a new "spit and polish" era for the small Denver suburb. They wanted the new municipal center to visually represent the improved social and economic vitality of the city, while alluding to its rich and varied past.
Multiple departments and various community services located throughout the city were consolidated in the new facility, including the city council chambers, traffic court, and the fire and police headquarters. In addition to housing municipal government and services, the building also serves as a community meeting and event space.
